In Peter Jackson's 1987 cult classic, Bad Taste, a small town in New Zealand called Kaihoro is invaded by an extraterrestrial fast food chain, Crumb's Crunchy Delights. The aliens, disguising themselves as humans, plan to harvest the town's inhabitants and turn them into a new menu item, "Crunchy Fried Kiwi". The main characters, Derek, Pauly, and Spider, are three eccentric and lovable friends who run a small business in Kaihoro.
